Collaborator is an advanced feature of Botstar, it allows you to invite other members to participate in building and managing a bot.
This feature enables you to:
Easily maintain and manage the bot in team
Let other people access the bot without revealing bot owner account information
Adjust permissions of each feature when assigning bot to your members
How to add Collaborator
Click on the “Organization”, choose “Owner” account, Organization profile will appear.
Next, set name for the group.
Then add new members, click on
Note: Keep in mind to finish each step by pressing “Save” button to save all changes.
Assign your members to a specific bot. Go to Configuration (next to Bot’s name) > General > choose Owner
Go to Configuration > Collaborator and assign members to your chatbot as you want.
You will see the list of features that allows you to adjust permissions to your members. There are a total 3 levels of decentralization:
No access: new added member does not have any right, even to view the bot
Read only: new added member only has the right to view, but not to edit the bot
Editable : new added member can both view and edit the bot Then click on “Save” to complete.
Next your members will receive an email to inform about sharing “Collaborators” which contains the link leads to the bot directly
After completing all these steps, go to your bot, click on Connect, you will see how many people are added in at the left side of the screen. Besides, it also sends you notification about who is joining in managing your bot at the time being.
